Could you have a look at this A4113901

you'll see thats it's not finished but I just wanted your opinion on whether you thought it would be suitable for peer review, before I write it all only to discover it's not

suitable when I've finished it of course should've have made that clear.

Thanks for asking me, but I think you'd get better advice by asking Mikey, she's the Girl Guide/Guides expert. And she's been involved in many Guiding type Entries.

Rather than making this its own separate entry, I think it might make sense to use what you've written here to update the existing EG entry on the Senior Section (A499269). Would you be interested in doing that? It would mean adding the information from the existing entry to this one, melding them together a bit, and then submitting it to the Update Forum rather than to Peer Review.

It's definitely very useful information, though.

Although that entry is about the actual sections themself so, if I put the history bit first then add that entry (updated) as tGirlguiding UK stands today, would that be ok?

That sounds ok to me -- why don't you take a crack at it, and then when you've had a chance, let me know, and I will come take another look?

OK, that is a good start -- only a couple of comments for you here.

1. You need to add the author of the original entry onto this one as well -- for right now, it will list that person as "written and researched by" and you as "edited by", but when it gets into the Edited Guide, you will both be under "written and researched by".

2. I would start out with some sort of introduction paragraph before delving straight into the history.

3. I think the history might read better as a bulleted list, rather than using headers. Here's an example of how the GuideML would work:





1901 - At the turn of the century, Girl Guides weren't around yet.



1917 - The earliest Girl Guides found many ways to help with the war effort at home.



1970 - Uniforms have changed over the years, and we of today sometimes laugh at the outfits Girl Guides wore in decades past.






Obviously, I just made up the sentences, but that should give you an idea of how the formatting could work?

The bulleting is great, but I think it still needs an introduction paragraph -- this should go at the very beginning, before the first header. Just something about how Senior Section is for older girls who are part of Girl Guiding, which is in turn part of WAGGGS, that sort of thing. Only needs to be a few sentences.
