Hi

Once again, thanks for all your deathlist hardy worky (lapsed into Stanley Unwin there). It's much appreciated.

What's your cheap Baileys, out of interest?

Most big supermarkets do their own version of Baileys, I've tried a few of them. smiley - droolsmiley - biggrin

The cheapest at £3.40 a bottle, though not the best tasting is Tesco 'Irish Meadow'. Both Aldis and Lidl do a version that is okay, but my favourite, at just £3.55 a bottle is Sainsbury 'O'Gradys'. smiley - drool

We've got a Sainsbury about 10 mins drive from us, but we'd never been there until a few days ago - jeez, I was like a kiddy in a sweet shop; they actually sell affordable clothes in size 22 smiley - wow (that gives away that I'm a little dumpling, but never mind smiley - smiley) i didn't buy anything, had no money to spare, but I know where to go for my summer shorts. smiley - smiley

O'Grady's. Have to remember that one. The one we have is Irish Knights. I think I prefer it slightly to Baileys. It's a lot cheaper too.

Clothes sizes. Hmmmm. Very strange they are. Virtually every bloke I meet is either taller than me or bigger than me, and yet I have to buy clothes that are either XL or XXL.

Where do you buy Irish Knights? I've not tried that one. smiley - smiley

You may have different taste from me, so it may be worth trying the others I mentioned. The O'Gradys just appeared to have that little something extra that I noticed on the first taste of it.

I am slowly getting down my imitation Baileys, and it is very nice, but I still prefer the real thing except for the price!! This was a Tesco one I think, and I have tried the Aldi one which was excellent last year. This was a smiley - gift from son so that was fine. My only vice and I am really enjoying it. I shall have to work hard to get the calories off when it's gone though smiley - rofl

Oohh I don't need to do anything to keep in shape Josh, I'm in good shape, round is a good shape. smiley - winkeye

You were right with your Irish Knights guess then. smiley - smiley

Hi Websailor smiley - smiley, Tesco Bailey versoion is well drinkable, I can down that as quickly as any of the others. I would have had the Tesco version over Christmas if they hadn't sold out when we went there to buy some; although I'd still had got the Sainsbury version, a bit like smiley - choc can't have too much of it indoors. smiley - biggrin

I've got loads of bottles/cans to take to recycling (that'll be my exercise for the day smiley - evilgrin) if I remember I'll count just how Baileys there are among the lager, and various wines and sherry bottles/cans etc, not just mine, partners too.

Emmily, we are lucky as our recycling is collected from the doorstep fortnightly. My pseudo Baileys is not ready for the bin yet, but it will be soon!

It was only five Baileys bottles that I took to recycling. I've got another one to take now. Bought a bottle of Ogradys on Saturday, finished it off Monday smiley - drool

Yeah, our council supplies the (blue) boxes for recycling too; I choose not use them. The bottle banks etc are only a few mins walk, I always used them before we got the boxes, so I just continued. At least that way they are being recycled (well, I think they are) smiley - smiley

Treated myself to a bottle of Baileys, the real MccCoy, for Christmas. Remind myself what it tastes like. smiley - biggrin

Was on half price, £7.00, in a local shop. smiley - smiley

Been having my cheap imitation Baileys every weekend during the year, exept for one week when I was on anti-biotics for tooth ache.

Sent off for, and recieved free sample of Baileys Coffee. Was ok, but wouldn't buy it.

Has anyone tried Baileys with ice cubes?

I tend to avoid using ice in any drinks, as I think it waters them down and dilutes the taste. But, I read today that ice can enhance the taste of Baileys. smiley - erm

I'll have to wait until Friday to experiment. smiley - smiley

I'm not a regular Baileys drinker, but it periodically overwhelms me smiley - blush And since it's been way too long I haven't had any, time has come to raid the liquor shop!

Plus, it always reminds me of some fantastic Baileys trifle I've had at a party in Edinburgh. Great memory smiley - smiley

Baileys with ice is *sumblime*, Emmily. You need to drink it *just* as the ice is melting, and then suck the ice cubes after (or add another shot of Baileys)
