I'm at it again, Emmily. Can you look at this: A3690425 and tell me what you think? No rush, 'cause I'm planning matching articles on match-stick rockets and vinegar rockets, so I'll put all three in peer review together with another one of those blocks of links at the top.

Hi Kiteman
I'm flattered that you asked me to look at your Entry, but have to admit my knowledge of most things is, limited. But I'm happy to offer you my first impressions, general Edited Guide advice, and what you might have problems with.
First impressions: I think it's a great Entry, the guys in PR will love it (boys and toys come to mind) it's well laid out and explained.
General Edited Guide: In a few places you use "double quotes" -'single quotes' are standard for EGs.
Subheaders should be Headers, and the first letter of main words in caps. (not sure about the use of italics in sub/headers).
I think the section under 'Time to build a rocket' would look good as a bulleted list.
You needn't take any notice of this next bit, it is just something that my partner, 'slaps my wrists' for; the use the 'aren't' instead of 'are not', and 'doesn't' instead of 'does not', coz he 'picks me up' on them, I notice them more in others writing.
Possible problem: The possibility of someone getting hurt trying this, and sueing the BBC. That probably sounds totally daft, but we live in a society where accidents don't happen, the tendency is to blame someone, and sue them, a large corporation, such as the BBC is a good 'target'. I don't have the answer to that, I could be wrong, it may not be a problem, I'll be interested to see if that is mentioned when the Entry goes to PR.
Some of your links may be a problem, particually the 'online' one, which from what I saw was basically a shop, Aunty (BBC) doesn't advertise.
Do you still have the link for my useful links? If you do, (if not, it is the teddy bear link on my page) under 'Writing Guide Entries' the 2nd and 3rd link down you may find useful.
Hope I've been of some help, look forward to seeing this in PR, I think it will be a popular Entry.

Points taken, Emmily. The "adverts" are gone, there are more bullets than a central American uprising, and I've added this:
<>
in bold and a nice sort of orange colour ("CC6600", apparently).
It's 11.40 "time for bed".

No problem - easily sorted. (ambles off to delete small piece of code)

Hi Kiteman
Re-Kite Entries.
I just noticed the 'top links' are not being put in by the Sub-eds, or if they are, they are being removed by the Editors, either way the Kite Entries are on ComingUp page without them. It would have been nice if someone had said in the threads if they could not be used. So maybe not worth you inserting them in your new batch of Entries.

Somebody (Kat?) said "they" would put the blocks of links back in when they got put in the guide proper. Something about the numbers changing as they go into final version.
Anyhoo, I've got every single article I ever offered up for peer review into the Guide.

'Launching and Landing a Single-lined Kite' is on Front Page, *with* 'top links' and a blob.
Glad they are using 'top links' I'd advised a young lad to put them in his set of gecko Entries.

Didn't his geckos object to their entries being filled with top links?
I missed my front page this time, cause I've been off line for a couple of days. What's a blob?

I think he used the code to make the 'top links' invisible, with a message to the Sub-eds.
A blob is a picture.
One Entry per week day (the one on fridays, stays the weekend) is chosen as the 'Editors Choice' and this one gets a blob (picture) created by the the artists. A blob is somethng most Researchers hope to get for their Entries, it makes it a little more special.
I am now a Scout not got my shinny red badge yet, (red is how I see it in alabaster skin) should get that in a day or two.

Gosh. So I can add "and I got blobbed by hitchhikers" to my CV
Well done on becoming a Scout - it will be a nice addition to your collection. Be proud, lady!
