The Spooky Goings on at St. Roswells

As this story is based on actual events the names have been change to protect the identities of those involved
"I say Suzanne did you lock the upstairs door" asked Clarissa,
"Yes of course I did" answered Suzanne "why what's happened"
"Well I've just found the door pushed open" Clarissa replied
"Again" said Suzanne "that's the third time this week and it's only Wednesday, I say are you thinking what I'm thinking Smolder"
"Way ahead of you Sulky, this looks like another mystery for us to solve, what a wizard wheeze, grab the torches and we'll be off" said Clarissa
Clarissa and Suzanne were the two jolly good sorts that worked the Twilight Shift in the kitchen of St. Roswell's Hospital, not only were they wizard at putting together scrumptious midnight feasts but they also uncovered and solved the spooky mysteries that plagued St. Roswell's, they had been responsible for catching the Knicker Nicker in the Nurses Home and the Bra Twanger of B2 Ward so they were eager to find out who was behind this latest mystery. Clarissa and Suzanne tiptoed upstairs into the changing room and kneeled down to look at the door,
"Golly you're right, look the door's been kicked just here look" exclaimed Suzanne
"Some of the boys have told me it's the way they get in early in the morning" said Clarissa, Suzanne looked surprised
"Do you think it could be one of them, you know spying on us" she shivered "eww he needs some serious help" Clarissa shook her head
"Who'd want to be here if they didn't have to be" she replied, Suzanne stopped and sniffed the air
"Can you smell something" she asked, Clarissa sniffed too
"Old socks and yesterdays rice pudding?" she guessed
"No don't be silly it's cigarette smoke and it's fresh, you don't smoke and niether do I so where did it come from?" exclaimed Suzanne, Clarissa gasped
"You mean somebody's been here watching us, ohh that's creepy" said Clarissa in astonishment, Suzanne stiffened she put her finger to her lips and pointed to the door, Clarissa had also heard someone coming up the stairs, she grabbed the rolling pin and tiptoed behind the door, Suzanne picked up an old hockey stick that was propped up in the corner and waited, the door opened and a man came through it
"Is any one here" said a voice that both girls recognised
"Nikolai" they gasped, it was Nikolai Astrokhanovitch the one-armed Russian odd job man,"what do you want" he smiled at them
"Someone called me saying the door needed fixing" he replied, this caught the girls attention,
"Do you know who it was" asked Suzanne, he shook his head
"Could you recognise the voice" said Clarissa again he shook his head
"I couldn't tell you" he said, Suzanne eyed him suspiciously, she never quite trusted him, he alway seemed to have his own agenda "all he said was the door needed fixing as soon as possible, why do you think he's your stalker" the girls gaped at him
"How did you know" gasped Suzanne, he laughed
"I know everything that goes on in this hospital, it's my job" he replied "now if you don't mind I have work to do"
"Ok, come on Clarissa" Suzanne pulled Clarissa's arm "Clarissa come on" but she was staring dreamily into space
"What.....oh ok, bye Nikolai" she said.
When they got downstairs Suzanne sat Clarissa in the chair,
"What's going on, have you got a crush on him" she asked, Clarissa blushed and nodded "golly what's your mother going to say, you can't really invite him home for tea can you?"
"I know, mummy want's me to marry Timothy Barrington-Smythe" Suzanne looked surprised, "what?"
"Well if you do marry him lock up your dresses" it was Clarissa'a turn to look surprised "well you know Daddy and Major Barrington-Smythe were at the Foreign Office together" Clarissa nodded "well he used to bring Timothy to our house and he seemed more interested in playing with my dolls that I was" Clarissa raised her eyebrows
"Well that's answeed a lot of questions" she said "so what are we going to do about the prowler, the girls started to whisper about their plans for setting a trap to unmask the rotten swine who was spying on them, they were so engrossed in their plans that they didn't hear the door open and someone coming into the room.......................TO BE CONTINUED (when we actually find out who the prowler is)

The Life and Times of a Fan Fic Writer

October 22nd 2002.
Oh boy I sometimes wish I'd never started writing X Files Fan Fic ( for those who are interested go to the X Files Messege Borad and click on all references to Hell on Earth and you'll see what I mean
) boy now I know why Hemmingway did what he did and authors need 
to get them through the night. It all started with an idea in the spring when several board members got together and decided to write S8 OUR way ie: still with Mulder in it, it started ok untill diva's
started to appear and we had 'artistic differences' being aired, the upshot of all this is now, the original pair who started this have stormed off in a huff and the conclusion of this little exercise is now down to me and a chap named Robin, so what started as a hobby has grown into a career kind of, which leaves me in front of my computer with a bottle of wine at my side banging my head on the keyboard when I get writers block, am I complaining......NAH believe it or not I'm having fun
. Next time you are at computer think of the poor Fan Fic writer and give her some positive vibes
