And that's why I was tripping along through your lovely personal space and noticed that you crochet. I started in July and now it's become quite an obsession. I have not however progressed to two needles, probably because I'm dangerous enough with one hook!

I didn't even realise it was a message board. Could've been getting some tips and tricks, I've just been getting patterns from it

It's more than a messageboard it's a community, its groups of likeminded people becoming friends have a look for groups that have the same interests as you. You know I don't think I've even looked for a Hitchhikers fan group, but look for a group called Chocolate Teapot, I'm a member and they are such a lovely group of people, very supportive of eachother, mad as hatters and the loveliest group of people you could ever meet. A couple of months a go one of the members asked if we could knit some baby clothes for her to take to Africa with her as she was visiting her son and his Partner, her Not Daughter in Law as she called her, who work for a charity that help new mothers and their babies and they need warm clothes as nights are cold out there. She took two cases full of baby clothes with her, such was the outpouring of help for her, her son and his partner and their cause, she told us there were tears of gratitude, songs and love all round for 'The Ladies that made baby clothes for them'. This is the kind of things that bring people together and if this is the kind of thing you can see yourself being part of, Ravelry is the place for you.
