We're both big fans of anything with mushrooms, ... I'll have to look about for some ideas on making that. Though I know such things ARE rather labour intensive.

Making pasta is a nightmare, so I'd try and get it from the supermarket and make a nice sause to go with it

I may or may not have mentioned it, ... When I met the missus, I was between marriages and in the middle of nowhere. She appeared, a very skilled military cook. She has ways with home-made pasta that might make it feasible. Otherwise, we'll keep the eyes open at the local grocers.

The Supermarkets in Britian do a large variety of fresh pasta, but mum and I fall out over which types to use I like filled pasta, ravioli, Tortellini, Canneloni and the likes, mum likes the other type, Congegilli, farfalle, Spaghetti and so on

We too have quite a variety to choose from, and like to try the odd newer one. It's not often we find one offensive enough to toss ... The rest, we know enough then to go again, or not.
Neither of us are afraid to try something new.

Since I went to college I realised how boring my families cooking was

Lots of stuff changed after I stepped away from that place. A brother 2 years my senior was encouraged to make a go of it, ... citing me, the worthless one, as an example of how "anyone" should be able to ...
I've never been too sure if that was a sideways compliment or not.

Depends what what he did with his life

In the long run? Not a lot, ... followed each step another brother had made, mostly because he had no imagination or ambitions of his own. Married the first one that said "sure", made 3 kids, and has been kept by a mistress for over 20 years.
Maybe he DID do okay.

He's been KEPT by his mistress, isn't it supposed to be the other way round

Not when you're a relatively spineless creature. I guess there's gotta be one in every clan, eh?
BTW, lovely tune on the other thread, ... I've NUTHIN' to follow it up with.

Ralph the Wonder Llama sent it to me, it think it's brilliant, especially the bit about the Tribble and the Chewing Gum

I've seen a couple of those shows, "The Making of ..." and they've said bluntly that when the script would get tired, they'd create a string of techno-babble. Just to sound "impressive". It works, eh?

I heard that too, I guess it's the same with all Sci-Fi shows

I figure, with my nearly 30 years as a Techy, ... I ought to be able to write some of that, eh? Hmmmm, I wonder if there's a paying living in that ...

My day is what you folks call a bank-holiday. How's yours?
