This year's is looking a bit better now, a month in and things are going well in the job

At last!

It can never be said that you aren't trier. Besides, even though some of the work might have only been temporary, you have always done your best.

That's right, only Prof knows I've got a new job. I started in Tescos Cafe in Portsmouth exactly a month ago. We had a few teething troubles when we opened but things are running along nicely, it's a great group of people and the manager actually gets stuck in and helps, unlike a lot of managers I've worked with.

The best bosses are those willing to work alongside you.

Prof is brilliant to open your heart to. You have a good friend there.

She's cooked, served, been on the till, unpacked the deliveries and washed the plates, that's good enough for me.

Prof is great

One of my ex-bosses was so 'hands-on' that he had to buy a new pair of trousers to meet up with the Bank Manager - because he'd been under a lorry helping one of our mechanics whilst wearing his suit trousers! and no overalls. I've also known that man clean out the toilets too.

I have a lot of respect for those bosses, they've earned my respect

Yes. They are usually the ones who listen to what you have to say.

She does that too. I don't know much about her but I have a feeling she's worked her way up to where she is now, the hard way

She might be a boss to cherish.

Apart from w*rk, do you have any plans for the weekend?

Relax and watch the MotoGP on Sunday and do very little else, I had to do a 12 hour shift at work yesterday

I don't envy you those hours.

Yes, we will be watching the MotoGP this weekend. Hopefully there will be no further incidents like the last one. We were so upset with the marshalling and lack of respect for Shoya Tomizawa during the GP2, that we didn't even watch the main race.

The Italians are hopless at that kind of thing and the Tifosi are even worse, Booing Lorenzo because he beat Rossi they are a disgrace. Still it's in Spain this weekend

And on a brand new track. That should be interesting.

I didn't know about the booing, and not having watched the race I don't know how closely Lorenzo and Rossi fought for track position.

Rossi couldn't catch Lorenzo, who in turn couldn't catch Pedrosa but the Rossi fan's have really got a problem with Lorenzo, because he's beating Rossi in the championship, they seem to think that Lorenzo was responsible for Rossi's crash that broke his leg, in some weird twisted way that only the stranger end of fan worship can breed
