Midlands Today...

I am being tortured with the exciting new improvements being made to Birmingham's New Street station.

Now, regardless of the fact that I've seen far worse stations, commuters are being bombarded with the questions: "what would you like to see on the platform?", "is there anything you'd like to see more information about on the concourse".

I can answer both of those questions with a single word. Plural. Six letters. Frequently associated with railway stations.

What is the point of politicians exactly?

When and How...

...would be the appropriate moment to admit that I'm hopelessly in love with Victoria Coren?

Mu Beta Tastes - expect pleasure and pain

"For crying out loud, I've never seen anyone get so much enjoyment out of chilli sauce"

I think I've stated my case as a devoted chilli-head here several times before. But, even by my standards, I did show a little bit too much excitement when my Dave's Mini 12-pack popped through the door this morning.

http://www.scorchio.co.uk/daves-mini-pack-p-815.html

At just over a pound a bottle, it's not bad. And I propose, given that I don't have to go to work tomorrow, or indeed for another two weeks, to taste them live here and now. And there should be plenty left over.

My dipping medium will be a large bag of salted Doritos. My palate-cleanser will be a bottle or two of Henney's apple-sweet cider (not actually a sweet cider at all). And I shall probably provide a Youtube link or two for general amusement. If you're up, please feel free to join in.
