Yes, I want to thank you, Emily. It was certainly the most enlightening information I received all night.
I must bring some - ah - 'accessories' to the next meet-up for UH's benefit.

Be careful! Uncle Heavy showed us in the park that he is an expert at whacking balls with a wooden mallet!

Oh dear. If you think that was bad heckling you obviously wasn't watching us play softball.
And I seem to remember being challenged to 'do a better job of a pub quiz', a challenge which I am quite willing to take on, btw.

I think the idea is that some people get questions right!
I heard that he was advancing the theory that you could tell which answers were correct by the fact I smiled when I read the correct one out. Which doesn't quite explain how his team only managed to get 14 right!

It was Kerr's theory, not mine.
We didn't win because we already had way too much merchandise between us (me, GD, Kerr & Bruce). In fact I very nobly gave away my prize mousemat to Daraline.

Not according to my spy on your team!
You had my boyfriend on your team and you *still* couldn't win.

Oh, aye, I forgot Ian was there - he was very quiet. He only answered one question. And he got that wrong.

It sounds like it was one of those 'text to win' competitions - £3.50 + your normal text rate to enter.

One question was a bit like that, actually. I assume it was supposed to be as difficult as all the others, but:
"In what year did water polo become an Olympic sport?
a) 1899
b) 1900
c) 1901
d) 1902 "
...and GreyDesk and me just looked at each other and said "Well, only one of them was an Olympic year..."

Yeah, his talents lie elsewhere.
Though I have a suspicion he did that on purpose - so I couldn't be accused of telling him the answers. Kind, a fantastic lay and honourable to boot. Manners maketh the man, Master B.
