Hi Natalie
Kaz Posted Feb 18, 2004
Hapi is quite happy to leave you alone, I am sure. She only posted to keep her friend Hati company, when you were posting on her page.
Hi Natalie
Fashion Cat Posted Feb 18, 2004
Arsenal, unfortunately, I do not give me email address out to people that I do not know. I have been stung by that once too often in the past!
If you want to talk then go to my page. Its not entirely private, but people have to hunt a bit more for it. And as I've never met Hapi (who you say is a friend) I might meet someone new on here! Again, who is this team you speak of? I wish you would just talk to me...
Hi Natalie
Fashion Cat Posted Feb 18, 2004
Arsenal, just a tip, if you dont want to talk to someone, just dont acknowledge them. They tend to disappear after a while. Posting to tell them to go away makes them hang around an awful lot longer...!
Hi Natalie
Kaz Posted Feb 18, 2004
This is a public forum, I only butt in because I saw a need. I wished to appraise Fashion Cat of who Kazi was and wished to say it is not true that Hapi follows you.
Believe me, I do not post to you because I like to. Your postings to me earlier this day bordered on the criminal, they were extremely offensive and sexually violent. I only post because I wish to let people know of what I believe is your true nature.

Hi Natalie

Hi Fashion Cat
I recommend that you have a look in the thread 'hello Hati' which you can find on arsenal's site or Hati's - and read it from the beginning. That will give you some more information.
This researcher, arsenal, has opinions that scare me and make me very angry. And I'm usually a very kind and understanding person.

Arsenal, you can get me at fashion underscore cat underscore h2g2 at yahoo dot com.
But I will not respond to you, if you type things similar to that which I found at the top of this forum. I do not see why I should be subject to that kind of thing when I have given you an email address.
Just so you know.
Hi Natalie
arsenal Posted Feb 18, 2004
are you begining to see the team about which i have already told you. I realy had forgotten about tartaron. But they are not many 5 or 6.
Hi Natalie
Hati Posted Feb 18, 2004
Hi Natalie, FC and others. I thought I should pop in, too. Arsenal posted at my message center F55017?thread=378581 as he has done in quite different places. I think whatever he/she is doing is offencive. I have been in the community for ages by now and I thought I'd love to find out what's going on instead ignoring him at the first place. He'd find somebody else to pester anyway. As things turned quite weird some of my friends popped in. As English is not my native language and as I am living in a different timezone that most of h2g2-ers I thought it could be more interesting to have better verbalised opinions and help available any time.
I do have a lot of friends here and I have to admit I also have an alias but no teamwork or alter egos were involved.
I am not for banning researchers in general. Or at least I thought I am not. But now it's already the second case (the first one was Oetzi) where I think that some people shouldn't be let in.
Hi Natalie
Kaz Posted Feb 18, 2004
I have asked h2g2 to put arsi on pre-mod, but they won't. So I hope we can all keep an eye open for what he/she does, as sometime soon he/she will make of these offensive postings to a child.
Hi Natalie
Hati Posted Feb 18, 2004
Oh dear! How much does it take then to have somebody on pre-mod? I mean - most of arsenal's postings are offencive and moderated.
Hi Natalie
Fashion Cat Posted Feb 19, 2004
Interestingly Kaz, Arsenal's posts were being looked at before they went active just before I left last night. So I had thought that s/he was on premod.
Hi Natalie
Natalie Posted Feb 19, 2004
Hello all,
We can't discuss individual moderation decisions on-site.
However, just a quick note - the best way to alert us to any problematic postings is via the moderation system. That way, we have a history of offensive postings on the system and can then can progress through the moderation process if necessary. We try to act as impartially as possible, so moderation history will always be the main factor in any decision.
Thanks,
Natalie
Hi Natalie
Hati Posted Feb 19, 2004
Natalie
Now, how should that moderation history look like to have somebody on pre-mod? Just a general question...
I mean, couple of my postings have been moderated during the moderation history and I consider myself a decent member of the community. But what if I had, say, 20 moderated postings in 24 hours? Would that be an alert for h2g2 team? Or should someone point out somewhere that someone has been a bad boy/girl?
I don't know much about the system, that's why I am asking.
Hi Natalie
Natalie Posted Feb 19, 2004
Hello Hati,
I'm afraid that none of these questions have a concrete answer - we don't say 'x has made y number of postings over z period of time.' There are a lot of different factors apart from volume of failed postings to take into account - the larger context, the nature of the postings and so on. However, unless behaviour is extremely severe (in that a Researcher will get an official warning email before being put on pre-mod.
Thanks,
Natalie
