The water levels in the fish tank having stabilised, Dai acquired a couple of additions yesterday. A companion for Sirius the shrimp, and a gravel cleaning goby. It's fascinating to watch him sift the grains of sand through his gills!
The goby was quickly named Doby - he's a bit of a house elf (well, tank-elf), was bought from Dobbies garden centre, and is so good at hiding it's tempting to think he may actually have apparated.
To name the companion shrimp, we stuck with the Potter theme, and raided the Black family tree, which was a rich source. We finally went for Cassiopeia, or Cassie for short. Shrimps are hermaphrodites, so they can decide which one of them is Sirius and which Cassie in due course.
