Travelling woes

Still due to arrive at 16.15, but not a snowball's chance (ha ha!) of a flight to Belfast today. There's still an awful lot of flights being cancelled, and any that are departing have serious delays (the one he was due to catch at 8.30 this morning still hasn't arrived...)
Have booked him on a lunchtime flight tomorrow. And I think I can make the 5 minute drive to pick him up

Well, we're not home and dry just yet! No chance of a flight tonight, so I've booked him into the nearest hotel I could find, 7 miles away. Unfortunately now he tells me there's no taxis. ooops.

Hey Bea!
I'm keeping an eye on things and my fingers crossed for you. I'm sure Dai isn't complaining like some of the ones stuck. Really, dears, it is NOT the airport's fault, nor the fault of its personnel. If they withhold info from you that's a different story.

Status now showing as "boarding" 
I think we'd both been realistic and reckoned it was highly unlikely he'd get home tonight, but full marks to Gatwick and FlyBe for making this feasible
