Last 2 times I flew anywhere (well it was London both times) I managed to get trapped there by the oul' Haveakefuffle volcanic ash cloud. So I promised to let everyone know next time I'm flying anywhere, so that they can all avoid flying at the same time.
So folks, I'd avoid being airborne the last weekend in August, as I'm heading to Edinburgh for a weekend of festival frolics, as an escape from endless house-moving activities. And should the volcano erupt, it's relatively simple to get back from there, so you can all stop worrying, 'K?

I think it's funny that the volcano suddenly seems to have sopped all activity *after* we had all suffered from it.

My mother and sister should be OK - they are flying over on 12th August for the wedding and back on 17th.
I'm sure you'll be OK this time, Beatrice. Unless you've woken sleeping dogs (Cerberus?) with this thread!

Was just talking about the Kerfuffly one to someone today. Hope it all keeps slumbering! And if not, well, the ferry's kinda cool, anyway.

Excellenty. Nothing much planned for that weekend and we live within 30 minutes walk of the city centre so should be able to join you whenever it suits best
