...is on Who Wants to be a Millionaire , being recorded this Thursday evening.
And I'm one of his "phone a friend"s! Which means I'll have to surgically graft my mobile onto me for dance rehearsal that night.
This could be a charmed week - I'm also in a draw for tickets to Warsaw. And I know Freddy won a tin of biscuits at a raffle on Friday, so those lucky buddhas I brought from the Chinese garden in Sydney have obviously now recovered from their apparent jetlag
Hmmm...wonder should I risk a scratch card or 2.

Heh! Only you could draw parallels between a tin of biscuits and a million quid.
He's got to get through the Fastest Finger First yet...

Could be a bit tricky. What happens if you're in mid-dance and your mobile goes?
I can see the dialogue now:
Him: "I've got thirty seconds - which composer wrote the march of the little spring fairy? Tchaikovsky, Rachmaninov etc, etc"
You: "Hang on a mo, let me get my breath back, pant, wheeze etc...Oh run out of time... Or is it slow dancing?

...on the plus side, I will be in a rooom full of 50 vaguely intelligent adults!
It's tap dancing, so fairly noisy, yeah. My biggest worry is not hearing the phone ring.

Of course, if your Cuz can't tell the difference between Tchaikovsky and Rachmaninov, I don't think he deserves your help.

I txted him a "Good luck our kid!" at lunchtime there. He's just called to tell me that he received that message when he was finalising his list of phonafiends , so took that as a good omen.
So I've got this list of instructions now, about not making outgoing calls, make sure I can see something counting 30 seconds, tell him how certain I am of my answer etc etc.
Apparently a researcher calls all the fiends if (when!) he gets into the hotseat, so one has some warning!
Oooh, it's well exciting, this!

Well, sadly, his finger wasnt fast enough
And whoever did get on took soooo loooong that they ran out of time for any of the others.

The rest of you can play "spot Lucky's cousin" on the show broadcast on 16th October.
Oh, and I continued my winning streak with a bottle of champagne at a treasure hunt yesterday.
