Hey - that is a brilliant disguise. It took me a while to figure out, but I got there in the end. Suits you!

6.30 a.m
The central heating comes on and all the pipes start to click. Ah the character of an old house!
The bakery delivery lorry arrives - he's late, there's been Fridays when he's woken me at 4 with his noisy pallets of flour.
The manic street sweepers arrive, on schedule. That annoying yellow flashy light goes on for even longer than usual right outside my bedroom window, as they can't get the truck past the bakery delivery van, illegally parked on double yellow lines on the other side of the street.
And I'm smiling, thinking, "goodbye!"

Yeah, we were round the half built bit on Friday, deciding where double sockets and the like should go.
I do find it difficult to pick out fireplaces and kitchens when I haven't yet got a vision of what each room will look like - a bit like hunting for a jigsaw piece when I haven't seen the picture on the front of the box.
Good news though - having done loads of measuring, we find that my rather large bedroom furniture will actually fit in the new bedroom! Woohoo! I'm very fond of my king size leather bed, and fabulous teak and coffee-coloured-glass wardrobe, but was prepared to bite the bullet and accept that they wouldn't fit in a smaller modern bedroom.
May have to lose my glass topped computer desk though

Winnoch, maybe I'll be able to catch you this time!
LS, I'll be happy to lend a hand with the gulp garden. Is a gulp garden something like a beer garden? At least if it's a new site there won't be a jungle to clear!
