h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

Back in the good ole days, there was "Ask h2g2".

And that's where you could put any sort of question (and it didn't even have to be a real question...). And it was dead easy to check in one place what sort of convos were going on, and click on the ones that interested you. I didn't need to subscribe to "Ask" with the risk of clogging up my in box with a load of stuff I wasn't interested in - I just went to the Ask convo list. And posted to the convos I was interested in.

Then people complained that Ask was getting too chatty. So Miscellaneous Chat was resurrected, and now tends to be used for the more frivolous threads, specially if they are non-questions. OK, so that's 2 places I check out for "interesting new stuff".

Then people complained that there were too many game type threads on Misc Chat, and so Games Room came into being...

...and The Forum took off for serious type debate...( I subscribed to it cos there's only a couple of new threads per week )

and now a certain reseracher is trying to get debate going in his own areas on things like TV shows...




How am I supposed to keep up with all this stuff happening in a brazillion different areas!

Int it a pain in the unmentionables!

How am I supposed to keep up with the backlog when gorgeous, interesting people keep writing new journals?

I know what you are saying Lucky....I try to use existing threads but sadly didn't quite work as established hootoo'ers appeared to take exception.As a relative newbie, not wanting to tread on toes my wonderfull ACE set up a thread for me and friends.I would rather that than be forced out of hootoo, which I thoroughly enjoy.It is only a light hearted banter/chit chat thread, all are welcome, newbies and 'oldies',(not a nice term oldies, will suffice for now).Hootoo should remain an open community for all and shouldn't have need for selected areas for the privilidge of the few!
Nuff said me thinks...open invite to the talking heads thread anyway!!

Yes yes yes too many places to be! Sorry I tried to avoid the whole Ask section for this reason XD I just find my interesting new places to hang out by making friends!
