Hi, Abi!
I'm Joe C, and I'm one of the Assistant Community Editors (ACEs) here, and it's my job to say hello and help you explore h2g2.
Have some to keep you going
If you want to ask anything about how the site works, you can leave a message for me here (just click on the 'Reply' button after a message). Or you can go over to the feedback forums here: <./>Feedback</.>. This is my space - U218534 - go there and click 'Leave a Message' if you want to talk to me there.
If you want to find out how to get around, try <./>DontPanic- Tour</.>. Oh, and if you have any burning questions you need to ask about absolutely anything, go to <./>Askh2g2</.>. Loads of people hang around in there talking to other people, and answering each other's questions
If there's anything I can do, drop me a note

Hi Joe
I think this is a good welcome. It has lots of info, but it is not too long which I think can be intimidating.
Can you have a go at answering Intern's questions?
Hiya, and welcome to h2g2!
U218534 Posted Aug 28, 2003

Erm... I don't know much about how digibox users work... could you tell me that one, pretty please?
Hiya, and welcome to h2g2!
J Posted Aug 28, 2003
Better methinks
I don't think you have to include an intro for digibox users every time. Why not just link to the FoLDer Arms or the LDer Advice Corner- A1027171

Thanks

), go to <./>Smileys</.>. Also, check out A690518 for tips on making your user page look a bit more exciting (with pictures and stuff). If you're using a digibox and have any trouble, visit the LD Advice Corner at A1027171.

Izzat okay Abi, Intern? I find the advice corner to be a pretty good place for digibox problems, but that's just my experience
Hiya, and welcome to h2g2!

Hiya, and welcome to h2g2!
Abi Posted Aug 28, 2003
Woah! Hold on - we don't want too many links or else the welcome will be too long. Remember that not all users are on digiboxes and that a lot of people come to h2g2 via the works of Douglas Adams.
Hiya, and welcome to h2g2!
J Posted Aug 28, 2003
Pah. My welcome is twice as long and I regularly get newbies that thank me for all of the useful links
Hiya, and welcome to h2g2!
U218534 Posted Aug 28, 2003
I was a bit worried about having too many links, so I've taken out the LD Advice Corner and replaced it with Manda's space. I think it's about right now:
