I'm in sunny Edinburgh, but my flatmate is from 'Polo Mint City' too...been there, can't say I was that impressed 
. Still, it beats where I'm originally from!

From the sticks, a wee village in East Lothian. I now live in Edinburgh, nuff said! 
No but seriously, it's one of those little mining villages where everyone is so small minded and prejudiced and well, it was just too far away from all the good pubs and cinemas!

east kilbride has got steadily worse in the past couple of years-there is now a put on "hard man" accent!
when I was at school people called their mother Mammy or Mum-now they say Maw-
that's why I love h2g2-I can escape to here like something out of that film "Brazil"
...they need to re-name it "single-mum city"
(my neighbour has...wait for it...5 children, 2+1 on the way Grandchildren, 2 cats and 2 Dogs, 2 sheds and a caravan-but complains if my hedges grow over 8 feet!!!)

but then I'm mad...
