Me - a Nurse?
This is the story of the best job in the world, and some of the things in my life that led up to it.
What I am now is an Anaesthetic and Recovery Nurse (a hairy old male) at a busy local General Hospital in the North East of England. What I was then is a different story altogether!
Born 50 years ago, in the same hospital I now work in, I must seem so parochial...I've only been out of the UK once, and I now live within two miles of the village where I was brought up.
But those two short miles have taken half a century to cross, and taken in much of the country as I made the journey.
