Amazingly enough, it seems the numbers of the postings *is* just a wee bit off, and the post which bears the number 42,000 is not in actually post #42,000.
Due to a small rip in the space-time continuum, it seems that post 42,000 is actually post 42,002, making the one which bears the number 41,998 the actual post 42,000.
