Ok, so tonight, I am officially bored with being indoors. Only took about a year to bother me, so I figure that's a record.
Things I need to do :
*Purchase the Zwan album when it comes out.
*get another haircut, and bleach bits, and dye bits.
*Stop obsessing over details, and get on with Life (whatever that may be).
*Update gaming collection. And CD's. And video's. And books.
*Sort out my email.
*Finish book.
*Come up with a somewhat decent much of poetry to enter into competition.
*Go out again.
This could be a temporary release of tension and frustration, and all of that stuff. Mainly because I have seen a job I actually want to do (so no one let me lose hope and get anxious about it) and *shall* apply for. I need to bone up on my gaming knowledge though. Shouldn't take long really. But that's a big step forward. And I have a huge heap of things I want to do, need to get etc etc.
I really hope this isn't a temporary high. I'm actually feeling relatively invincible. Eep. That's usually a bad sign...
Re : my hair. I've *got* to do something with it. My fringe needs to be cut in half again (it's too close to my eyebrows now, and is therefore curling)...and I need to bleach some of the s**tty brown-ness away. And add some purple. I miss purple hair.
Anyway. Heaps of things to do. Job applying, hair dying, etc etc.
Ho-hum. I just know this is a high, and there will be a crash sometime soon...

A localish chain store - sells mostly games, DVD's etc. I've worked up the courage to get and fill in an application form tomorrow... Gaming is something I believe I have a dab hand at...so I figure I could get through the interview. Oh cursed confidence skills. I do need to buff up my knowledge though...just in case. but I think I could have a good chance at it. If I wear a low/tight enough top... I know what I mean.
2legs. Shut up. I'll kick your behind if you mention the meet again.

Kick my behind! OK, won't mention it again Still hoping I can go.... hopefully.... if I do something about it, rather than keep saying I need to do something

I'm sure you're a shoe-in. Any girl who knows the slightest about video games becomes very popular in gaming circles.

Really? So if I just go on about how I think Quake is obviously a better game than Doom ever was, and how I think the internet is the future of first person shoot 'em ups, how I prefer RPG's and God games to anything ever created...then I'll be OK? Oh, and how Squaresoft is the my personal favorite manufacturer too...
Ok. I like you people. You make me less anxious. Phew.

Quake kicks a**e according to my lodger, who plays it almost constantly (I.E., when he isn't working or drinking or anything) : He was right chuffed i got the 1MB broadband connection; when I go up to bed; he is still on teh PC on Quake, and the new one he is testing out, vietcom? I don't think they have quite released the full version to buy yet, so its only a demo, though it does have a problem with the ping, but mainly cause its not on any UK servers yet, I think they are all German (the servers) ; and I don't even play games, obviously

Actually, my knowledge of gaming is a lot like my knowledge of football (aside from the fact that I actually *like* gaming)...I'm not sure where I get my information from, because I'm not obsessive or rich, but I seem to know a lot more than I should.

Most girls I know don't know the first thing about video games. So to be able to know enough about certain games to have an opinion on which one is best would put you far and above most other women.
Of course, a plunging neckline would help, too.

Ok. I'll wear the burgundy shirt...
Sweet. Ok. I feel really now!! What other things do you think would help, O wise one?

Knowest thou the difference between the X-Box, Gamecube, and PS2, my child, for the knowledge of such will serve thee well. Quickly peruse various gaming publications and/or websites to gain knowledge of current releases, for knowing the new is preferable to knowing the old. Take a quick run at current PC games as well, as PCs are a significant part of the market.
But mostly, wear a plunging neckline. Few gamers can withstand the power of the breast.

Oh, that's easy.
X-box is Microsoft release. Only decent game out on that is Halo/Halo 2 (which is out sometime soon)
Gamecube is from the holy Nintendo. Previous machines started with the Gameboy/NES, then the SNES, then the Gameboy pocket, then the N64, then the Gameboy Advance, then the Gamecube. The Legend of Zelda and Goldeneye are the best releases...both of which have new releases coming out this year I believe. Up until recently, they used to release games on the cartridge format to avoid bootlegging...until the Gamecube that is...
PS2 is the upgrade of the PS-one. Originally from Sony, who sold off the rights (I think) and now make games for both the playstation and Nintendo - which is why Sonic the Hedgehog is now available on the Gameboy Advance. Sony also produced...um...the handheld thingymebob and the Megadrive. Noteable releases on the Megadrive included Megabomberman, and on the playstation, GTA and Tomb Raider and Final Fantasy.
PC's. Main market is strategy and SIM style games. Also Doom/Quake, and others with internet link ups for MP Gaming. And that's all I know. Because it's PC's and that extends into all sorts of things like soundcards, and memory and technology.
D'you think that will carry me over? And we haven't even got onto accessories...
