Sat, something I've just remembered.
What is the spec of your new machine? If it's low you wont be able to play DVDs but I have a nearly new CD drive if that's the case.

Just reading email now. Shall dually reply. I think I should play it safe and only accept the CD-ROM for now. I only really desperately need it to install the blueyonder thing. And I mean

her machine's only a 233, with 48mb of ram, so I doubt it'll play DVDs. It does have a nice Voodoo3 with a 17" monitor, though, so if it did, they'd play quite prettily.

hurrah! cool, satty-baby.
The US is extremely strange, especially at the moment. The things you overhear people saying (especially in seedy pawn shops that sell guns) are quite different to anything you'd expect to hear in the UK. And the attitudes peoploe have over here are weird.
Having said that, all in all, it's pretty nice, nyssabird (and her kids) are all lovely, and I seem to be settling in alrightish.
