Why 188933
Although flattered that h2g2 allows me to create a nickname of my choice, there is something satisfying about being researcher 188933. Think of it: There have been 188932 researchers before me. Therefore, if I can provide a new insight to an existing field of research, I am improving on all those who came before.
Of course, h2g2 could have simply generated a random number and I could actually be the very first researcher in the universe. In that case, as the wonderful Gilda Radner would say: "Nevermind."
(I do so hope the cosmic energy pool allows Ms Radner and Mr. Adams to run into each other now and then, I think they would enjoy their times together.)
