Hi Satyagraha! (I think I got that right).
Welcome to the glorious world of H2G2! It is an extremely interesting place -- I've only been a part of it for probably 5 - 6 months, but I have already encountered a great deal of the strange beings you may meet in your travels throughout this VR.
Have fun with this place -- you can learn a great deal while still having a whole lot of fun.

I shall have 
. I am still trying to give up the smoking, (French people, we smoke, and smoke, and smoke!) but alcool was not too hard because I never like the taste. This is another reason my parents think I landed in a 
unlike my brothers and my sisters. I always refuse the wine, always. I make the faces and spit out bier, so they decide it must be true I am not really French. I am 
like they thought, especially when I become a hippy and join ashram. Eccentric is accepted in France, but only within very strict rules. Is not that 
?

Oui, Mademoiselle, that is very silly -- but, then on the other hand, the same goes here in America -- eccentricity is fine, to a certain point. Our limits are just wider than many other countries'.
Don't let the intro fool you -- I actually know very little francais -- in fact I just used up most of my repertoire. Oh well... 
I see you are already using all the little smilies -- that's impressive to me, as I took a while to get the hang of them when I first came here. But NO MORE!!! HA HA HA HA!!!
Or something -- you'll have to excuse me; I'm every bit as crazy as everyone else around here -- that's why I like it.
