The chance we might have to throw off the BBC straitjacket and really forge a new Guide! The Community could own it collectively, we could develop it ourselves, we could really BE something!

Yeah, OK, the excitement has worn off too.

I'm just going to sit back and see how the BBC are preparing to market h2g2 before I seriously consider the Community bidding for it. Yeah, perhaps we could own it, but if it's a viable proposition why wouldn't someone else do it?

It's about taking destiny into our own hands instead of being subject to the whims of others....
