Me

What can I say?

Why am I asking complete strangers???

Me - Londoner by birth almost 50 years ago. Played at being a schoolboy, an accountant, a part-time musician, and a software consultant. One of these days I'll decide what I want to do when I finally grow up.

Married (or is that still married) with 3 growing children.

Likes: music (stuck in a time warp of early 60's to early 70's), especially The Beatles; comedy - Marx Bros, Milligan (Goons & solo stuff like the Q series - what are we going to do now? what are we going to do now? what are we going to do now? ....), Monty Python, most of the Elton/Mayall/Fry/Laurie/Saunder/French/etc crowd; Chris Morris; The Royle Family (almost too much like my parents to be comfortable)and loads of others; computers and the internet; reading - T Pratchett, D Adams, I Asimov, E E "Doc" Smith, J Grisham; films(as in the cinema); photography, especially with my newish digital camera).

Dislikes: intolerance, 'isms (racism, ageism, etc - in humour as well as real life), The Conservative Party, "The Far Right", - all variations on a theme really; modern "pop" music, even more manufactured than in my day; my inability to learn French; lack of sleep (so why do I stay up late?); other stuff.

That's enough to start with.

"The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is a wholly remarkable book. It has been compiled and recompiled many times and under many different editorships. It contains contributions from countless numbers of travellers and researchers."
