ummm..hi :)
Hihi, I'm Cirdan, I'm new here. Living in Holland, we get bbc 1 and 2 on cable, and I often watch programs like 'room 101' and 'Have I got news for you' which I really like. So one day I decided to set bbc.co.uk as my homepage and eventually stumbled upon this place! It surely looked interesting right from the start and the more I read, the more interested I became. Indeed it is a sticky place here, and unlike glue, the longer you're stuck, the stickier it gets! If I keep stuck for a some time longer, I intend to write some of my own guide files.
Although I love science fiction I must admit that I'm not familiar with Douglas Adams' works yet. I'll surely pick up a copy of his famous book when I get the time. I'm currently reading the Rama series (Clarke) and the Reality Disfunction (Peter F. Hamilton), and I need to read so much for school too, it's a good thing I like to read! :)
Hmmm...I wrote this in word and copy/pasted it in here, and after I clicked preview it changed all the "'"s into "’". For example, "I'm" became "I’m"...how strange. :|

"The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is a wholly remarkable book. It has been compiled and recompiled many times and under many different editorships. It contains contributions from countless numbers of travellers and researchers."
