h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

Happy WLC-day, Strider! See, I told you that I'd get around to you some day… / You're a great guy.... This is truly coming from my heart--people everywhere on h2g2 are worth my time, but today is *your day* . To tell the truth, I don't know what to say that won't come off icky, so I'm just going to write and see what turns out, okay?

You are an amazing person, Strider, to persevere in the face of everything that has (and unfortunately will be) thrown in your way... I want to remind you that you don't have to face it ever alone--there are always people here on h2g2, or in your own RL life, who are willing to listen and talk to you about anything you want. Hundreds of people care about you, some because of no other reason than that you are human and deserve the respect due to *everyone*. But there are people on the other end of caring who care because of whom you have shown yourself to be.

Strider, you never fail to bring my mood up when I log in and find you've posted to the six page (!) Post-Beatleness thread.... Sometimes I can feel pretty dreary before, but there's always something nice there, or something to bring me back into a more optimistic view of life. Something that pulls me from my own mind. Thank you *very* much, Strider. You've made quite a positive difference in my life.

It doesn't matter; it is true. My experience at h2g2 has been just fantastic, and I have to credit that to you and to the other great people I've met here. Thank you for showing up on my doorstep and starting talking, because now you are a great friend. I can't picture h2g2 without you.... You matter and can make a difference doing whatever you put your mind to. You have power that way, Strider. And you have people backing *you* here always, even if they don't necessarily agree with your actions or beliefs. (Goo indeed... It's like some cult... Almost as bad as Mac-people... )

I want you to have as much support as you ever need, and I want you to realise that you have made a difference in my life and others' lives. And don't *ever* forget that you are loved.

Hi! (Ooh, the thread's back! )

I wanted to say that I really appreciate you coming in yesterday and posting back at the Post Beatlesness thread... I wasn't having that great a day, and between making a fool of myself here and IRL, it just wasn't going well, *at all*. But seeing a nice message from you was really great, hearing from you again... So thanks. Once again you've made a difference.
