The Theory

Welcome to H2G2! I am fairly new here too. One of the coolest parts of h2g2 is getting little responces to your page. So I try to spread the joy. H2G2 is a fairly fun place is you don't take everyone seriously. If you have any questions about h2g2 feel free to ask me, though I probably won't know the answer, you never know.
By the way, long hair is cool, you don't have to be defensive about it! I'm thinking about growning my hair out as a tribute to '80's hair metal. *smile*

peace.

I was reading HHG2TG by Adams at work when a cusomer came in and saw what I was reading. He suggested I read Prattchett, but I have yet to find anything by him. Is he good?

Cr0wley

Well, people - thanks for such a warm welcome! I'm amazed and astonished that anyone found my page so soon, and one day I hope I can return the favour and post the first message on someone else's page. It certainly is a good feeling to know that someone else has read (and appreciated?) what you've done.

Oh, but as for the Pratchett thing? You're dead wrong - read 'The Colour of Magic' first. They're about 80-ish percent funnier if you don't miss the in-jokes from earlier in the series.

That's my word of advice for the day smiley - smiley

So true for the discworld series!

I found the thought of such a big series of books rather dauntins so started on Good Omens as it stands up on its own - I do have to confess to being rather hooked now tho!

The best way to find new researchers is to go to http://www.bbc.co.uk/h2g2/guide/NewUsers
It will take you to a page where you can see people who joined recently. (that's how I found your page) Sometimes ACEs get there first (it's thier job, you know) but often I'm the first one there (cuz sometimes ACEs slack, ya know.)

peace.

Wayfarer-- I only wish I were crackly

spose so... i wouldn't have noticed as i *did* try to read them all in order(in case the plot actually did progress through them in order.). *waiting anxiously for the latest one to be gotten by the local library/come out in paperback* of course if you read all of them, then you also get the in-jokes from the game(which i am now playing, following the Soul Cake Tuesday Duck around and getting eggs.). incidently do you know which one it is with the little ornament things, they turn up everywhere, and CMOT sells them... been bothering me lately, as i can't figure out which one it could be, after looking at a list of them, i can recall the plots of all, smiley - huh with no mysterious gaps anywhere.

If you haven't read earlier in the series, how can you get the in-jokes?
