Hi there. We haven't talked in a bit. How are you and your family doing? I'm doing fine. I'm going on a picnic tomorrow, even though it might be a bit chilly.

Hi- I'm feeling better. I've been to see a Psychiatrist who is now adjusting my mediction (I'm switching from Paxil to Celexa) My daughter is staying around the corner withn a very close friend for a bit. She's a funky artist who istrying to mentor her. It was decided that respite for Darel was the best thing for both of us. My sister arrived at my door a few weeks ago unexpectedly to offer support. (she lives three hours from here) While talking to our mom, she finally told our mother that she is also bi-polar. My Mom's reaction? Her mouth dropped and then she said "You Too?" I'm glad it is out in the open so that my parents now believe that it is genetic and ours is not an isolated problem. My father is now doing research on the net about the subject. She hasn't contacted you yet because she has just moved and hasn't gotten hooked up yet. Due to my family history, my Psychiatrist is going to consult with a collegue in Toronto, who specializes in Mood Dissorders, as to whether he should go further than Anti-Depressants in my treatment. The meltdown came out of the blue -twice in two weeks) un precipitated. Close family and friends I have talked to were surprised that it hadn't happenned a long time ago and that they admireed me for being such a "Rock". Well the rock cracked. I'll get back to you next week. I'm sorry, How are you. Where do you live that you could go on a picnic at this time of year? Kathleen (listeneing to the wind off the lake whistleing through my terrible windows.)

Hi Kathleen, I'm glad to hear that your sister told your parents about being bipolar. I think that is a good thing, for close family to know. I'm not very familiar with Paxil or Celexa. Hope the transition from one to the other goes smoothly. I live in Memphis TN. We've had a very mild Autumn this year. The mental health class I was taking has changed now into a support group. I hope that all my classmates continue to come. I really like the woman who leads the group. I've been telling her about h2g2, and about how I love to spend time on here. I look foward to hearing from your sister too.
