This was in the 60's . I'm ancient! This is *exactly* how I remember the vending machines in the UK:

Looking at it now I see that it has a 50's USA style. Very "Happy Days". But definitely dispensing small triangular cartons. Were there machines in Sweden too?

This might have been in the 60's too - the end of the 60's more likely, since I was born in 1963...

At the start of the Beatle's movie "Help", there's a scene where someone buys some milk out of a vending machine and has trouble getting it open. I think that was a triangular package too.

*jumps up and down*
Ooh ooh!! It's actually "A Hard Day's Night". This afternoon there were 2 Beatles films on, back to back. "Yellow Submarine" first then Hard Days Night.
In the opening sequence one character puts 6d in the machine and gets a triangular milk carton. There are a couple of shots of him trying to tear the thing open and then he manages but all the milk spills out, so he throws the empty carton away, annoyed.
I nearly fell off the sofa when I saw this!

Checking through old conversations from last year I saw that you were among the visitors (or volunteers, haven't gotten through all the backlog yet) d'E - maybe you might be interested in participating in this year's Harvest Festival at <./>A1143893</.> ?
*gives coely a nudge*
