I thought I would pop by to see how you are!
I have missed your sweet letters.
I hope you are very well, and keeping busy (not too busy) with many enjoyable activities.
I cooked an early Thanksgiving dinner for 16 people yesterday. Whew!
There was three chickens, one turkey, 4.5 kg. of mashed potatoes, 2 kg. mixed vegetables, 2 pumpkin pies, stuffing, gravy, two birthday cakes with ice cream (for my 15 year old and my 10 year old), and a bottle of nice wine.
I am so tired and sore today, that I have decided to take a day off from packing to move to our new home.
Anyway, I will stop rambling for now.
Please take care of yourself.
Karen

Hi my dear one
I have been on holiday hence the silence. I did not know that you had already chosen somewhere else to live. I know that you were thinking of it. I do hope that it is going to be a happy move and that you will be able to all make a wonderful new fresh start away from all the trials and tribulations which have haunted you.
what a wonderful thanksgiving dinner. You must have been exhausted after making it. It sounded delicious - especially since I know how super your red mashed potatoes were.
I am off to bed early. I have been entertaining my doctor brother from Canada for the last two days. I have so enjoyed seeing he and his wife and they have been very helpful to us.
I shall write a longer letter next time. I hope that you will still have your computer in your new home.
A very affectionate Your very loving AR1

Yes, I knew you were on holidays! I hope all went well. It is nice to hear you have family visiting, too.
I hope you are feeling chipper. You sound like you might be a bit tired.
took me to find a place to live. I guess he got tired of me being shot at. It is a very nice old home, with about one third of the space we have now. It's on a big farm, where there are about 80 sheep that come right up to the front door, a playful donkey who nips your backside if you don't pay him the attention he wants, geese, chickens, and pigs(72 of them).
Our new landlords gave us two piglets, so we can try to be real farmers, too. We get to have chickens in the spring, too. During lambing season, if the sheep have too many lambs, we might end-up with new lambs in our porch for a few days.
We will have the computer in our new home. I couldn't imagine life without the darned thing anymore.
Well, I have to pack, so I must keep it short for now.
You take care of yourself, please!
I will talk to you soon.
Karen

Hi dear Karen
I shall be thinking hard of you packing and working like mad over the next few weeks. A happy move my dear and I hope that you will all be very happy in the pastoral surroundings which you have described. You must not call your computer a "damned" computer!! It is a wonderful thing. It opens so many horizons and makes one be in touch with so many people. I treaure mine.
A fond and do not get too tired.

computers....
The Dragonlady~There are no ugly women in the world, only neglected ones! Posted Oct 13, 2002
Yes, my Dear. You are right.
Computers are very important in many things, and I find I would be lost without this one.
WE are about half-packed now, and I hope I will have the energy to continue until it's completely done. I have had to take some very needed rest over the last two days, as my hands and feet are swollen so badly, my knees are stiff and sore, my hips are achy, and my back is so painful that I have had to cry.
My 15 year old daughter that loves to cause so much trouble, has been acting up quite a bit lately. I don't know why she has to feel like she needs to cause trouble to count, but I love her anyway. She is a victim of a frontal lobe injury to the brain, from when she was three months old. We had a terrible accident, and she was comatose for three days as a result. I know this aaffects her reasoning, and makes it so that she doesn't understand the consequences of her actions in the long run. Sometimes this is so frustrating. I feel sympathetic toward her, but at the same time I have experienced the greatest losses at her hands, because she did not have the ability to reason out what would happen when she made those false accusations of violence against me.
Could you pray for her please?
Keep well.
I will talk to you again soon.
Karen
