Computer Technical Writer
For the past 20+ years, I have played with computers at one level or another. I started out using an Apple II+ at our local library. From there, I enjoyed playing games on an Atari 400 at a local computer store.
The first computer I actually bought was a Coleco Adam, which was an Apple II+ Clone that used special cassette tapes instead of disk drives. Although slower than disks, the tapes could store about twice as much and I got to play the Coleco games. Now, while you waited for the tapes to load programs you could go out for pizza, eat it, and return and still may get to wait a bit....
The Army tested my skills in 1988, and it was determined that I would make a great cannoneer, so I enlisted. After spending 13-weeks of hell at boot camp, I was sent to Giessen, West Germany, where, after about a month, I was transferred to Battery Supply to work on paperwork for 14 hours a day instead of getting to work 9 hours like everyone else.
I started using a friend's Atari 1040ST, and fell in love with it. It was a great system.
In 1989, I managed to wiggle my way out of my contract with the Army, and after getting an honorable discharge, I attended Metro Business Academy to learn Bookkeeping. Managed a 3.20 average, which is still an A...
After managing a couple of convenience stores, a truck stop, and a restaurant, I decided this year to start writing. No point telling anyone my life story, so instead I will put it in writing in the form of articles....
This last year or so, I've been dealing with a virtual mega-ton of file archives. I've also started a new BBS (Bulletin Board System) these last few weeks, and will be incorporating those files into it. As soon as I finsih getting the Board situated, I will finally be able to return here and continue my writing....
