I do play chess - and pretty well.
I could describe myself as interested in all of the above, but unfortunately I know nothing about them. I'm a pretty generally interested guy.
I'm toying with the idea of writing a piece about the trials and tribulations of life on England's inland waterways, but I'll see how it takes me.

So learn! That's what I do. I have never written an entry in which I didn't learn something doing it. Alright, well, maybe I have. I did a restaurant review once that didn't teach me much. 
And for the Monty Python entry, I talked about Finland... Which wasn't much... But most of the stuff I have learned from!
