I am a assitant community editor (ACE) - a group of volunteers that wonder around welcoming newbies and being generally spiffy to everyone we meet. This can be just a li'l daunting when you first start, so if you haven't done already, check out these two:

I see you're an aspiring writer - I am too! I got an e-book out so if you need any help, gimmie a buzz - theres also a writing workshop somewhere on h2g2, I dont have the link to hand, but I think you can find it on the front page (if not, I'll find it).

Hey, Rat, what kind of writing do you do? Do you have a page where I can read your book?
Oh, and thanks for the warm welcome. I wasn’t expecting anyone to show up for a couple of days at the least, even though it told me that I should be expect an ACE soon. Wow, you guys amaze me.

I'm a traveler...or was a traveler until bad health made me stop... so my stuff is Basically auto-biographical just changed around a bit and compacted to make interesting reading. Did have a page where you could download it, but my server stopped being free 
but gimmie a couple of weeks.
