Post Christmas blues?

Why do people ask what you want & then buy something slightly different?
One item instead of a pair, one item the same size as the one in the cupboard instead of a larger one. After several occasions requesting talc, I have 5 packs of body lotion in store.
Why do I feel so ungrateful & low when I've got enough chocolate to last until Easter, tokens, books & CDs to enjoy?
Why did Christmas seem so dull?
Could it be 3 days in the same company which didn't include elder son? Could it be that my Mum's memory seemed to be failing? Could it be the lack of fun family activities? Could it be the excess unhealthy food & alcohol? Could it be hormones, the gloomy weather or lack of sleep?
Probably a combination of all those. Thanks to h2g2 for letting me get that off my chest.
A deep breath now & smile into the New Year.
