Alright Geoff - long time no speak - I thought I'd drop by and say hello before the meet-up Friday. Are you still on for that? I gather from the age of postings that this is the space you use most.

How's the stand-up doing - got any gigs planned? I haven't been down to Malarkeys at all this year - I keep meaning to, I enjoy it when I go. I must get myself together to get down there. I noticed that Toby Hadoke is appearing in a play at Bury Met at the end of May - I can't remember who else, but it sounded good. Sonya's got details somewhere - she's on the mailing list. I hope to get down and see that.

I've been doing some training with John - thanks for the pointer there, there's so many plonkers about it's hard to track down genuine people, and he's obviously the real thing. I'd been looking around for somebody teaching internal Chinese arts for a while and I was beginning to think I wasn't going to find what I wanted.

It's really frustrating though - after 20 plus years in the martial arts I expect to be able to pick stuff up fairly quickly, but this is SO different. Still, that's what I wanted - new challenges and directions. It's really quite nice being a beginner again - there's no expectations. I'm enjoying it.

John asked after you, by the way - he said he'd like to come and see your act - so we're both after your gig-list!

Monday May 6th - Iguana Bar in Chorlton.
Wednesday May 15th - "Lush Laffs" in Urmston.

I've not been to either venue before, but the line-ups look pretty good. I've also got some upcoming gigs in Liverpool and Macclesfield, and I've just got back from a couple of gigs in London, which went pretty well.

I didn't know you've started up with John, and I'm really glad you're enjoying it. Repeat after me..."RELAX"
