Dear Ste,

I'm a little disappointed that you would take such an obvious attempt to trip me up, and actually use it. The idea, of course, is to get me to say that there is scientific proof beyond a doubt that the Earth is round, and that the flat-earthers are obviously morons. Then, with swift and crushing triumph, you would proudly state that this is the same in the case of evolution vs. creationism. This is clearly not the case, since the evidence that evolution has taken place is far more circumstantial, questionable, and far less obvious than the fact that the Earth is round. The flat-earthers only have to take a long trip to find out that the Earth is round. The evolutionists, as of yet, have found no such easy means for proving their point.

In answer to your question, I think they're nuts.

It's obvious yes, it wasn't a trap, I have more respect for you than that. But flat-earthers and creationists are analogous. I asked you not to "trip you up" but to try and get you to view creationism from my shoes.

Ok, definition of evolution: "A change in the frequency of alleles in a population over time." This has been observed many, many times. It is not circumstantial and is so obvious it's like a heavywieght punching you in between the eyes! You want an easy demonstration? I could show you a graph, on the x-axis, time; on the y-axis, allele frequency. I could show you many of these graphs, with the data points and lines changing over time and also changing in response to the environment.

Would you like for me to supply you some references to some journals?

I don'y have the references at work, and I'm not using the computer much at home recently. When I get the chance I'll give you them. Those two links should occupy you for now smiley - winkeye

Dear Ste,

Just wanted you to know that I'm still alive out here. I haven't had time to even peruse the listings you gave me. We're coming up on finals and I have little to no time to do anything on the net. Sorry, old chap, but I'm afraid my schooling takes first place on my priority list for the moment. Rest assured, however, that unless I am overtaken by a Ravenous Bugbladder beast from Traal at the precise moment I do not have my towel on hand, I will soon write back.
