Unless, of course, the poor wives work outside the home 50+ hours a week, in which case it's surely not too much to ask for a robot to do the menial tasks.

Hmm; i still think a well trained human would work better. You definitely need a wife. Send me an application form.

How sweet of you to offer.
I don't downplay the usefulness of well-trained humans. If only certain ones of us had fewer uses outside of tidying up.
Herman's also afraid of the dustpan, mop, broom and feather duster. Either he's a really big sissy, or he's annoyed that we're using said items to remove the mess he's worked so hard to create.

I've tried getting the cat to clean the place while we're at work. He acts as if he owns the place, and we're here to wait on him hand and foot and provide warm bits to snuggle up on. Honestly, the nerve.

Our cat only comes in in the winter ... in the summer she is out catching and eating mice ... yummy!

Our kitty is stuck indoors. He has a condition that would make it difficult, if not dangerous, for him to get around outdoors even if we were in the country and surrounded by grassy fields and wide open spaces... no way could he survive traffic, neighborhood dogs, etc.
Not that I think our cat would ever catch any mice. He can barely catch his toys. The mice would probably catch him!
