Hi all. I've been playing with my new Picasa 2 program. It helps you organize, edit, tweak, and share your photos. I like it quite a bit. It won't do everything that Photo Impact will do, in terms of artwork and photo retouching, but it is easier to use, and most excellent for locating and emailing photos. Picasa 2 has a collage feature that is very nice. I'm having quite a bit of fun exploring what the new program will do.
At the same time, I have made Google my homepage, and signed up for Gmail. Yes, I've gone over to Google whole hog. So if you haven't already, send me some nice long emails to keep me busy.

I have picasa. It's a nice lil program.
I much prefer adobe tho because you can clone, and mess about much more, with easy to use tools. I don't have that on this computer, I have gimp instead - but that has soooooooooo many tools and I don't have the time or patience to figure that one out...

Hi JEllen and Vixen!
I'm actually looking for a good photo-edit/graphics program. The one I'm using at the moment is Picture Publisher. It doesn't have that many photo manipulating features, but it does have nice paint tools. But this program is very old now. So I'm looking for something new, that will give me a similar range of tools!

Hi there you guys!
I have had an insanely busy week at work. Two people in the department took vacation time, and I've been covering for them to a large degree, plus we've been busy in general with year-end stuff.
Your new program sounds fun. I've been busying myself, when time allows, playing with my new media bar coding and cataloging software. It's fun, too, in a geeky way.

Hi PCandy, I desperately need to tear myself away from this computer and unpack more -- but will I? Nah!

You'll be blogging next, JEllen!

GIMP - I've got it too. In Linux, you can also get GIMPshop, which makes GIMP look exactly like Photoshop. Except that it's free. (Mind you...my Windows version of Photoshop is free anyway )

JEllen -- collage feature? That's so cool! I am envious.
I hope you're unpacking ...
