Ecotypical tips looks very useful.
You might want to read this - http://www.bbc.co.uk/h2g2/guide/A471304 - as it has some helpful advice on DIY. But I'd still like to keep reading yours. Keep it up.

Hi Mina!
Nice of you to drop in
I had already had a look at your excellent DIY tips article when I was searching under "sink" at my reason Time of Crisis It's great - and very true!
The Ecotypical Tips are actually supposed to be about the many times when Being Green doesn't really turn out how you would like it to (anyone who has tried to pursue this elusive goal will know the kind of thing...) but just at the moment, DIY has taken over a bit, given the state of Sea Bean Cottage. Actually, DIY itself is a bit tricky to be ecologically sound in: all those lovely solvents, throwaway bits of plastic, unrefillable tubes of stuff etc etc...
Still, we soldier on
by the way, I like your gardening stuff. more wildlife gardening in particular would be a good idea... but now I can't really even do that, because I've only got a titchy little yard. That hasn't stopped my installing a pond, though.
OK OK, it's really just a black plastic trough

Being Green can be difficult sometimes. But I do my best, and it seems you do too.
Don't worry about the pond being a plastic trough, mine's an old tin footbath! Works just as well!
