I just noticed that you`re interested in etymology and just wanted to point you in the direction of the British-English thread on h2g2. Hi Wordz,
thanks for the messge, I hadn't seen all the Calvin stuff on here, and it was fun to have a look.
As you'd noticed, I had seen all sorts of language stuff, and I fear the British English thread! 
Do you know the great line from Hamlet when he's being mad when talking with Polonius (the 'hawk from a handsaw' dialogue), when he just says "Words, words, words". I have decided that it would make a good epitaph for me, when I go.
