Demosthenes (Irrefutable FooFighter, Fire loving Pyro, and general Psycopath. "I dun descriminate. I hate everyone eaqually.")

What is your name?
Alex Foster.

What is your education?
I have a Bachelor of Science degree in biology and a master’s degree in engineering.

What is your occupation?
I work for the metro city department of public utilities. I am a member of a team of about six that monitors the city water for parasites, bacteria, and other contaminants.

How long have you held this position?
Since 1988.

Are you active in metro city politics?
Yes.

In what way?
I ran for a seat on the metro city council in ’96. After that I founded the metro city chapter of the NAGG organization.

What is nagg?
Nationalists advocating good government. We are a nationwide political action organisation that believes state and local governments are doing to little to protect their citizens, and are focusing instead on politics and economics.

Why did you open the metro city chapter of NAGG?
I was concerned about the city’s drinking water. I feared that the city council was
Ignoring the health risk to it’s citizens.

How was pindia discovered?
The FWSA approved federal funding for pindia testing in october of nineteen ninety seven.

Were there any conditions to this funding?
As part of the conditions for the funding, we were required to send a utilities department employee to take a two week long course offered by the fwsa.

What was taught at this workshop.
What pindia is- its effects on the human body, the causes of pindia infestation, and ways to combat it.

What is pindia?
Pindia is a parasite. A microscopic bug that lives in groundwater. It infests pipes

Looking back, were those fears well founded?
Well founded?! Three people died because of the reckless disregard for human life shown by the metro city council.

What pindia is- its effects on the human body, the causes of pindia infestation, and ways to combat it.

What is pindia?
Pindia is a parasite. A microscopic bug that lives in groundwater. It infests pipes that are deteriorating, and feeds on Organic matter.

What are the effects of pindia on the human body?
Well, the effects of low levels of pindia, below 300, are unknown; however once it reaches 300 Pindia per gallon it becomes a health risk. In persons with healthy immune systems it takes someone out for a week or two, with severe vomiting, diarrhea, nausea, abdominal cramping, and fever. But in cases where the victim has a weakened immune system; the very young, the very old, transplant patients, cancer patients, and aids patients; the pindia has almost no opposition. It can literally rip a person apart from the inside. That’s what happened to Sam.

Mr. Foster. Did you suggest a course of action to the city council regarding pindia?
Yes, I did.

What was that course of action?
I suggested that they flush the system with chlorine when the levels of pindia reached 250. It was important to flush the pipes at two fifty- before the pindia became a health risk so that no one would get sick.

Is it a fair inference that if the city had flushed the pipes with chlorine, those three people would not have died.
Yes.

I suggested that they flush the system with chlorine when the levels of pindia reached 250. It was important to flush the pipes at two fifty- before the pindia became a health risk so that no one would get sick.

What was the council’s reaction?
Political Maneuvering. They did nothing to combat the pindia threat for three years. When the pindia levels went up to 400 organisms per gallon.

400 Pin. Per. Gal What does that number mean?
It means that the pindia levels were well over that which could kill those who were most vulnerable to its effects.

When was pindia first detected in the water?
October of 97

When did the city council act?
September 1, 2000

How many years was it, after they were alerted to the pindia that they acted?
Three.

Cross examination of chris baird.

Mr. Baird, the city could have afforded to flush the pipes with chlorine couldn’t they?
No.

No? So you could afford a seven million dollar sports arena, but not to protect your citizens?
(No further questions)

Yes? Than why didn’t you provide for those citizens who would have complications when the levels reached 300 P.P.G.
