Well time passes, and things change.It was nice to see H2G2 back again, thanks to the Beeb for doing the smart, obvious thing - at that time, anyway.
Then of course, things changed....
And the Beeb rather lost the plot, wrt H2G2.
We had had login troubles for a long while, which eventually locked us out, and then, suddenly, in 2011 an email offering a revival of the old login!
It's taken a while, and there have been bugs, but we seem to be on H2G2 again....
Thanks and all praise to the Gurus!
You'd be amazed at how rarely the smart obvious thing is done, or then again maybe you wouldn't.

Where does the name come from?
'Pilgrim' is a Wharram Tiki 30 catamaran we built from a big pile of plywood in the back garden in the latter years of the last century. After some bouncing around Biscay we finally made it to the Canaries, a climate fit for human life all the year round. There may be an entry or two right there.
It was a sad blow to visit the UK summer 2001 and hear of Douglas Adams' death. A wonderful man like that gone, one's heart goes out to his family, friends and fellow admirers the world around. H2G2 is only one of a myriad testimonies to his life, but it may prove to be the most significant in the fullness of time.
Our objective in being here is to share some of the insane details acquired in a fairly long life of unbridled curiousity. Like the meeting at which the Year 2000 (aka Millenium and Y2K) bug was pretty much created. More of that elsewhere - although it is pretty hard to find on H2G2 nowadays. Must learn how to work the search engine properly.
Nowadays we're on t'other side of the planet much of the time. Down Under, that is. And Pilgrim is seriously for sale, since arthritis is taking its toll. Creaky bones do not for safe sailing make. Not that helpful with guitar playing, come to that....
Hang onto that towel.
