Zombies, doncha know?

Good point Kitush. I shouldn't have my secondary charecter interacting with my first. The rule is that they should be one to two suburbs seperate.
Cy, you should join the game when you can and head to Dartside. We're starting up a Evil Army/Hootoo faction. Just put "The Evil Army of H2G2" under group in your profile.

How would the zombies get out of control here? The control of hootoo is chaos...

CYBERHUMAN Posted Mar 6, 2006
What if the zombies develop a level of intelligence and command ability that leads them to strike against the human population, like they did in "Land of the Dead"?

EvilClaw: The Catmanthing Posted Mar 6, 2006
Well, since playing as a zombie is an option, and you become a zombie when you die... I wouldn't worry too much about it

CYBERHUMAN Posted Mar 6, 2006
But what if some humans survive being turned into zombies and are then horrifically outnumbered by the zombie population, "by as many as 400,000 to 1" according to the scientist figure in "Day of the Dead"?

The creater of the game adjusts the game so no one side becomes too powerful.

I'm planning for the group to be a zombie and human group. Make your way to Dartside http://wiki.urbandead.com/index.php/Suburbs
I'm nearly there. About one more day of travel and I should be there.

I went out a bought Dawn of the Dead (2004 remake of it at least) and Shuan of the dead recently.
... Er... I've also seen the Angry Alien bunnies version of Night of the Living Dead... http://angryalien.com/0206/NOLDbuns.asp

If I were you, I wouldn't bother watching the 2004 remake of "Dawn of the Dead." You see, the remake lacks what made the 1978 original so successful in the first place, and that is the brilliant plot with the underlying theme of American materialism and consumerism. The remake has a totally different, and frankly terrible, plot and the underlying theme of materialism and consumerism doesn't exist. The remake relies on the more sophisticated use of special effects than in the original, but to be honest, the poor special effects in the original don't really matter as the plot is so good. Even George A. Romero, the man behind the "Night of the Living Dead" trilogy, was unhappy with the remake.

Actually, I hear that Romero said that he was surprised because it turned out better than he had expected. And I'll agree with you that the remake is more of a action-gore-horror movie rather than the social commentary it once was. But for a zombie movie, it wasn't bad.

CYBERHUMAN Posted Mar 6, 2006
All the reviews I've read say that the film is not a patch on the original, and Romero was unhappy with the film because I've read it in an interview he gave about it.

EvilClaw: The Catmanthing Posted Mar 6, 2006
Whatever. I find it easier to think of the movie as having the same name and basic plotline as the original, but in actuality being a very seperate movie.
