The contents of my notice board.
My wife thinks that the contents of the notice board in my study is a representation of my brain. I suppose there is something in that assessment since I tend to pin up things that mean something to me. So I thought I would just list the things on the board and you can make your own minds up what sort of person I am. There are several prints of work by various artists: Degas (After the Bath, Woman Drying Herself), Ingres (Madame Moitessier), some pre-Raphaelite stuff, a Jack Vettriano (the one where the couple is dancing on the beach with umbrellas), a pin-up by Jack Hensley (a voluptuous scantily clad woman in an exotic setting) and a Patrick Caulfield print (Hemingway never ate here). There is a poster of jazz pianist Jacques Loussier whom I saw in concert at a local venue. A picture of Laurel and Hardy. Several postcards from various parts of the world. Some pictures of Corfu where I had my holidays this year. A picture of my wife and me at a party on 31st December 1999. My nephew's business card (he's only 10). A shot of me at a Christmas party wearing antlers. A milkman calendar. Pictures of the Beatles, Bob Dylan and the Eagles. However, and equally telling, there is nothing in any way connected with sport of any kind, especially Football.
