oh, here's a little intro overview to Evangelion,

It is the year A.D. 2015, a time in which the world is recovering from the melting of the Antarctic Polar Ice Cap--the planetwide catastrophe known as "Second Impact".
Entities called "Angels" suddenly strike "Tokyo-3", a specially planned city under construction in the Hakone area. Their true identities and objectives are unknown. What is known is that they are challenging mankind to battle with an array of configurations and unusual powers.
Mankind's only means of fighting back against these mysterious foes, the "Angels", is the "Multi-Purpose Humanoid Fighting Machine, EVANGELION". Ikari Shinji, the series's main character, is one of three young people chosen by NERV, a special agency directly attached to the United Nations, to be operators of EVANGELION. (Translator's note: according to Anno, "nerv" is the German word for "nerve".--Yamada)
The battle which will determine mankind's fate has begun.

Hello Mithrandir May I show you around a bit?
Somebody must have just washed this ing floorI've been here about 2 1/2 years. Firstly,
try not to believe them when they say things like, "The World's round." That's just how 'they' get the stupid people to fall off & make more room for 'them'selves. See, I found out how...

There are some things that are serious here. However, the main goal most 'Hikers' try for is a close community of friends. Several RL (real life) romances have begun here!!! And many people who post &/ or work here meet at various places & times. There's was the 'London Meet'...the 'Dutch Meet'...etc.. I have made a few friends who shall more than likely become life long friends. The people I've made friends with, and even some I hardly know send me greetings & well wishes if something is a problem for me. I even get help here & there on how to use my iMAC...I'm a *looks around* tad, bit...*spots someone she knows reading this* okay, I'm TOTALLY computerly challenged.
Pan is a bit of a tart as well.
One party you'll want to catch is the annual Halloween party at the 'Crossed Porpuses Pub'. (you can click onto my name & it will take you to my home page...scroll down a bit & you'll see the thread for the Pub. Just click onto it & whal-la...you're there.

Click on (just to the left), :Who's On' & You can check to see if a pal is around. Lots of times you can catch a pal & post back-N-forth...it's nearly like 'real time'.
I think one of the things I truely like about this place is that the editors, ACES, etc. really do care about our feelings, rights & so on. I'm often humbled by the way the staff takes care of us as best they can. You can complain should there be a conversation that offends you. (MODERATORS) Anyone can narc to a MODERATOR. Even though I'm forever poking fun at MODERATORS...we would have a nasty place to post & thusly would loose this place altogether.
