Hah! You don''t expect me to actually write an article do you? I mean after 'Brown Sauce' got hacked to pieces that was the end of my article writing career.

So, that's 3 people, cool. Your last article was fine, well I like it at least! So, the coveted title of editor of this upcoming, fine article is up for grabs....ooh, who's it gonna be?

Well, I was thinking a character description definitely, and the best quotes. Episode summaries? I dunno, help me out here!

Hmmmmm
A good start may be to look at some other TV entries for inspiration on http://www.bbc.co.uk/dna/h2g2/classic/C879.
The Father Ted one (http://www.bbc.co.uk/dna/h2g2/classic/A425783) starts with a few lines to introduce you to the programme in case you have never seen it before and want to start watching it. I guess that because there is such a huge selection of people on here from all over the world, most of them won't have seen or heard of it before so they need educating! That entry then gives a run down of the characters with bits about them. Follows this with synopses of the series and a bit about the writers, production and what have you.
I think the Drop the Dead DOnkey entry (http://www.bbc.co.uk/dna/h2g2/classic/A637887) is another great one where each character is described v. well indeed. Worth a look although a slightly different format.
I reckon a good plan is to begin with a brief description of the series (i.e. its a comedy on channel 4, has 2 series so far) and then talk about the basis of the programme (set in a bookshop, blah blah blah). The idea of adding favourite quotes is excellent and needs to be done. However, we may have to be wary of copyright infringement and also making the entry over-long. I'm not sure how the copyright aspect would work here. I know you can get away with lines here and there very easily so long as the source is acknowledged (which it will be)!
Talking about writers could be interesting because although Dylan Moran is involved in every episode on the writing side, there are often line-up changes here.
Episode summaries - this would depend on how long the article became! Could be v. good....
I dunno, there's a few ideas. What do you think?!

Definitely, I was kinda thinking along those lines, I was just fretting over how to put it all together, lol! I've looked into putting quotes on webpages (I once asked this for use on my own website) and that is perfectly OK.
We should work out who wants to do what - who wants to do the characters, episode guides, etc...good idea?

Ah ha! Finally I have managed to get the reply thingy to work - there have been gremlins abroad today!
Anyway, I'm quite happy to do whatever really. As its 'your' project it may be best if you call the parts you feel best able to write and delegate to the rest of us (there's quite a few now aren't there?) If you tell us what part to tackle we can have a go and if we struggle with it we can always scream......
sounds a bit odd!

I'm quite happy to piece it all together and make it pretty, but I'll do the intro and stuff. You can take your pick at what you'd like to do.
BTW, I thought it was only me that was having probs today!

...OK then. Its probably best if someone with the DVD does the episode write-up. I can have a crack at the characters!
Still having problems today btw - phnerg!

You may want to mention that Graham Linehan and Arthur Matthews also wrote Father Ted, Big Train, and have also been involved in Brass Eye. However, I think only one of them was involved in writing the second series of BB...

Dylan Moran wrote the second series himself I believe...

He did but I noticed a couple of other names creep in which changed each week. I wonder if anyone still has all of series 2 on tape? I know ours got taped over! This would confirm the writing line-up
Most certainly mention the pedigree of previous writers too.....
hmmmmm...
