Beer is God. I am writing an article on it. I will name the ten commandments of beer drinking.

I am aware of the religious experience beer is for you. I read your article, it is quite amusing. Though I fear that your love of the stuff borders on obsession And what's this about not being a quitter?

Help! Anyone got a rope? I think the tone of my previous reply fell into the communication gap and now I gotta fish it out!

I know it was a play on words. My intent was of a more playful and sarcastic demeanor in a wink wink nudge nudge sorta way. So now I will rephrase:

What's that about being a quitter? *wink, wink, nudge, nudge*

Sabaticals...hmmmm...well what exactly constitutes a sabatical? Is it merely a break from the consumption of the holy stuff, or must one go on some kind of journey in order to be considered on sabatical? Must there be a goal that requires a lack of beer?

You may only go on sabatical without beer if you are going to the local pub or distributor to get more.

But how much time must pass between that last beer and the trip to the local pub or distributor to be considered sabatical. How long is too long to be sabatical?

You know whats better then beer though. Beer and darts or beer and pool good stuff (actuly tried that smernof ice stuff goooood)

So lets say one is driving to the store to buy beer, and runs out of gas, has sabatical there ended and they are sinning against the aforementioned commandment?

Depends, do you walk the rest of the way to get the beer or not?

Well...hmmm...I guess it depends. How far is it to the store/pub? Is it raining? Is it an uphill walk? And how big of a tank does your car have...I mean, if your car has good gas mileage then you can actually go a really long time without beer. If thats true, then one might be willing to walk further, uphill, in pouring rain to get said beer. I would say if the walk is 2 miles or less, then yes, I would walk.

Granted. . .

And what if beer is substituted by some other alcoholic libation?
