Well its definitely informative but there are a lot of things that are going to stop it going in the guide right now.
The first is that some sections are written in the first person. I have recently tried to sneak some of this in but the rule against it is hard and fast. So you need to rework the sections with the debating tone.
The next is that it is a bit wordy in places. I am a relative newcomer to h2g2 but from what I've seen all the articles in the edited guide seem to be written with the complete layman in mind. To this end you need the article to break them in more easily. Also some links to other things would help to make it an easier read.
The most important thing is to get your guideML sorted out. You've got to put tags around your paragraphs and you really need to get those links working.
At the end of the day though it is clearly an interesting subject that is worthy of an in-depth article. It just needs some of reworking and a lighter approach

Oh and you put an article up for the edited guide on the peer review (the big banner at the top), but only when you think it is finished.
There is help on guideML at the guideML clinic and there is also a writing workshop, but I will help in any way I can.

Well i was trying to tidy it up a bit and learn how to do the tags and GuideML etc. But it just keeps telling me that the"Body is expeting a P" or something.
Is this a polite way of saying my entry is a load of Pish or have i made a foolish schoolboy error?

That means you have missed a paragraph tag somewhere.
Go through and check you have a "" tag before each paragraph and a "" after each. I always miss one or two.

I've got it up and running now. I obviously could do with adding some more stuff in, how do you think it looks now?

It looks really good now visually.
I think you should take it to the writing workshop for advice on where to take it now.
